Developing the 5 Saturdays program that delivered science, technology, engineering, agile, and math (STEAM) workforce development skills to under estimated students was one of the highlights of my life. Building a community of industry professionals willing to serve with their time, resources, and kindness raises one spirit and belief that we can move forward together. President Barack Obama’s humble beginnings of community organization and service certainly inspired my desire to give back by serving with my professional skills to communities capable of learning STEAM skills to thrive in the future of work.
