5 Saturdays Featured in PM Podcast

Hear How the Program Teaches Life Skills Using Agile Project Management

Dr. Dave Cornelius was recently interviewed at the PMI Global Congress 2014 in Phoenix for a PM Podcast where he discussed the 5 Saturdays program, and its focus on teaching high school students life skills in creative and critical thinking, effective communication, agile project management, technology/software development concepts, and root cause analysis using “5 Whys.”

In the interview with Cornelius Fichtner, Dave talks about the importance of the 5 Saturdays program and its goal of meeting the needs of underserved students in the information technology/project management sector, including African American, Hispanic, and women, who are not well represented in the IT profession, by going into the community to give these students an opportunity to learn about technology and project management. He also outlines how IT/project management professionals could start their own 5 Saturdays program in their local communities.
